NOTES AND VIBEZ

MOTEL ÓRBITA

Motel Órbita is a genre-defying duo that throws out the rulebook and redefines what music can be. It’s not just any duo—it’s a songwriting force committed to pure creative expression. No genre boundaries, no radio playbook, no time limits.

At Motel Órbita, songs unfold organically, raw, unpredictable, and free to take whatever shape the music demands. It’s storytelling without a stopwatch, an exploration of sound that doesn’t conform to expectations. This is music that knows no constraints—sound without rules.

Motel Órbita: Rewriting the Future of Music

Music used to mean something. It challenged, moved, and rattled the cage. But somewhere along the way, that raw, unfiltered energy got lost in the noise. Motel Órbita is here to bring it back.

We’re reshaping songwriting—not just for ourselves, but for the next wave of artists who refuse to settle for safe, disposable sound. We want music that hits harder, digs deeper, and demands to be felt.

This isn’t just a project—it’s a movement. If you believe in real music, pushing boundaries, and crafting songs that matter, then join us. The door’s open. Let’s build something timeless together.

Brandon Brassington – The Drummer Who Shakes the Room

Some drummers keep time. Brandon Brassington bends it to his will. From the moment he could reach a snare, Brandon’s been locked in the pocket, a human metronome with a mean streak—delivering precision, power, and pure instinct wrapped in raw energy. He doesn’t just play the drums; he detonates, with each hit landing like a seismic shock that you can feel in your bones.

The goal is simple: take the stage and unleash a performance so electric that the walls will sweat. And when that day comes, you won’t just hear it—you’ll feel it. The shotgun-crack of his snare is legendary—without a doubt, the loudest drummer around.

    MOTEL ÓRBITA

    Jilt

"Jilt" is a high-energy fusion of alt-rock, angular riffs, and dynamic shifts. Urgent and chaotic yet controlled, it moves between explosive intensity and brooding atmospheres. Blending post-hardcore, progressive, and classic rock, this track is bold, relentless, and emotionally charged.

    Figure it out

An upbeat track captures the hazy struggle of waking up after a long night—hungover, lost, but pushing forward. Punchy drums and driving riffs mirror scattered thoughts, while restless melodies fuel the recovery. Messy yet alive, it’s the sound of shaking off the fog and moving on.

    MNTCLR

    Crying Is Okay

The chaos of growing up - lyrically and musically. Unresolved chord progressions mirror the tension of navigating adulthood, while shifting influences—from Rush-like precision to fleeting ‘70s disco grooves—create a push-and-pull effect. It’s a turbulent ride through uncertainty and self-discovery.

    Favorite Colour

Ego & addiction, convinced of adoration. An anthem of self-destruct. Pairing sharp lyrics with a syncopated frantic sound. The chorus spirals but resolves, verses focus on rhythm, the bridge layers displaced guitar and bass in a call-response before aligning in the outro. My favorite from MNTCLR.

    LOUD, LIVE AND ÓRBITING

    MNTCLR live

While MNTCLR is no more, its spirit lives on in the echoes of every note we played. Though its members are now scattered, the passion that once bound us together still fuel our individual journeys. The music we performed remains, and the drive to create continues for some—just on different paths.

    MNTCLR - Lee's Palace

MNTCLR took over Lee’s Palace, delivering a high-energy set that shook the walls of this legendary Toronto venue. With Tyler(el Güero), Xan, Hawkeye and Missy locking in tight, the band unleashed a powerful mix of raw riffs, deep grooves, and atmospheric soundscapes.
